New album, rave reviews and lots of gigs!

Stoomboot, also known as Niels Boutsen, is a twenty-one year old musician. Only two years ago he was one of the national finalists of Imagine Belgium... He made a good impression in the finals and although he didn't win, he’s got the fantastic opportunity to participate and perform at the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Music Expo in Cyprus, along with over 180 young musicians. It looks like there's no stopping for him as after that, he won the Nekka competition and got bookings at big festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands.

In January he finally released his debut self titled album for which he received rave reviews. De Morgen wrote: 'Stoomboot moves people without being soft. Every word is in the right place, every arrangement sounds distilled, and he has a message to tell.'
